Unlike many lifting robots which feature an arm which raises from the AR500 steel chassis, such as Slammo, Defender's whole body lifts up in response to a stabilizing leg pushing against the ground, in a similar manner to Hypothermia. It instead sports a clamping top arm, which has a built-in flamethrower to roast its opponents, similar to Complete Control from the ABC seasons.
